“Canada’s Original Night Trail Run,” the 2013 Trek or Treat is sure to be a ghastly experience for the entire family (in a good way!). You’ll be thinking, “Feet don’t fail me now!” as you prepare to run for your life. Kids can enjoy the chills of the “Creepy Mile” that precedes the 5K run—every child is a winner when it comes to this fitness promoter and ribbons will be awarded. Our family will be there, so join us as we stay fit and have fun—all at the same time!
If Zombies and other ghouls with headlamps get your blood pumping, you might want to enter the new “under 24 minute” category for 5K entrants. Or, maybe you prefer to walk or even push the jogging stroller during the event. Whatever your speed, there’s a spot for you.
As costume-clad participants arrive at the October 19, 2013 event, they should be prepared for fun and food. As the name implies, there’s trekking AND treats. Pumpkins and skulls will guide racers along the course that includes a corn field, graveyards, and wooded areas. Candy stations will be in the mix too, along with pizza and warm drinks at the conclusion.
Are you ready to run? Costume? Check. Headlamp or flashlight? Check. Proper running shoes? Check. Healthy feet? If this question stops you cold in your tracks, Chiropodist Tony Abbott has the answers to your foot and ankle pain. Abbott Foot & Ankle Clinic is proud to serve our Collingwood, ON neighbors. Don’t let foot concerns scare you away from the activities that you love. Make an appointment today by calling (705) 444-9929. You can also schedule online.
