Conditions

Abbott Foot & Ankle Clinic offers excellent care in the Collingwood, Owen Sound, and Barrie areas for common conditions affecting your feet and lower legs. As a running enthusiast, Chiropodist Tony Abbott knows the benefits and challenges of physical activity, and will do whatever possible to help you live an active and healthy lifestyle.

If running and sports are important to you, know that poor mechanics, improper training or techniques, and overuse can bring on many conditions. From Achilles tendonitis and ankle sprains to stress fractures and turf toe, we’ve seen and treated them all.

Heel Pain is a common complaint of active people (see common heel pain causes). Whether it is due to plantar fasciitis/heel spur syndrome, bursitis, or arthritis, we will find a way to relieve the ache and get you back into your favorite activity again as soon as possible.

Common Foot ConditionsWe also offer expert foot care if you suffer from diabetes. This disease can have serious complications for your feet, but we can head them off with careful monitoring and care of any ulcerations.

We offer treatment for other common conditions such as:

Fungal Nails – This nail infection often responds to laser treatment.

Athlete’s Foot – We’ll help you get rid of the burning and itching.

Bunions, Tailor’s Bunion/Bunionette – Shoe choice, stretching, splints, and orthotics can bring relief.

Blisters, Callous/Corns – Reducing friction on your feet is key for healing these painful skin conditions.

Call our office at (705) 444-9929 whenever you have pain or notice any problem with your feet or lower legs. Find out more about how we can help you if you have concerns about one of the conditions listed below:
