Athlete’s foot is caused by a fungus in the skin. Common symptoms associated with Athlete’s foot (or fungus) include itching, burning or peeling either between the toes or on the bottoms of the feet, and sometimes scaling and small cracks may appear. These cracks may lead to a serious bacterial infection. Treatment is recommended.
